The inverter is used in photovoltaic systems and solar parks requiring a convert DC voltage of the PV modules into AC suitable characteristics for injection of the electric grid.
-How does an on-grid inverter works?
On-grid inverters are directly connected to the grid, they are using a counter that measures the produced amount of energy (KWh). It is necessary for the efficiency of the system it’s the optimization of the orientation of the solar panels, for example the orientation in Greece is in the South.

Off-Grid inverter is an electronic device that converts the DC voltage into AC voltage. Typically used in photovoltaic systems to convert the electrical energy stored in batteries into suitable energy for supplying loads.

Off-grid inverters convert DC power stored in batteries to AC power that can be used for supplying loads.
The input voltage can be 12V, 24V, 48V or other and their output voltage is 230VAC or 400VAC.

-What are the Hybrid inverters;
The Hybrid converter (inverter) is a device which combines the advantages, benefits and uses of on-grid inverter and off-grid inverter.
-How does a hybrid inverter works?
Hybrid inverter has inputs for: solar panels, batteries, electrical grid and Loads. It provides power to the connected loads by priority for the use of energy from: solar panels, the energy from the grid and the stored energy from the batteries.
The function of the Hybrid Inverter and the priority to the use energy sources is programmable. The excess electricity production from photovoltaic is injected into the grid.
