With a new design and modern aesthetic details – combined above all with significantly improved performance – the Sentinel Pro2 represents the new proposal from the Research and Development Department of Riello UPS. It guarantees maximum availability and protection for every technological infrastructure it supports, featuring characteristics that make it particularly fast and easy to install.
The Sentinel Pro2 uses ON LINE double-conversion technology, offering a high level of reliability and maximum protection for critical loads such as servers, IT applications, and voice/data applications.
It is worth noting that for business continuity applications requiring extended battery runtimes, autonomy can be expanded for several hours through the use of ER models, which are equipped with more powerful battery chargers.
The front panel of the unit features an LCD display showing input and output voltages as well as battery indicators, while information regarding the UPS operating status can be immediately viewed via the status LED located below the display.

Maximum Scalability
The Sentinel Pro2 comes as standard with a USB port and an expansion slot for protocol conversion cards or relay contact cards. Different operating modes are available to reduce energy consumption or to use the system as a frequency converter. The Sentinel Pro2 also offers EnergyShare output sockets, allowing automatic disconnection of connected loads under configurable operating conditions.

Emergency Function
This configuration ensures the operation of emergency systems that must be powered in the event of a power outage, such as emergency lighting, fire detection/suppression systems, and alarms. When the main power supply fails, the inverter begins supplying the loads with a gradual start (Soft Start) to prevent overload. The Sentinel Pro2 is suitable for installation in medium-voltage transformer rooms, in accordance with current legislation, to supply medium-voltage coils.
Battery Optimization
The Sentinel Pro2 range features deep discharge protection to optimize battery life. Periodically, the UPS performs a battery performance test (which can also be activated manually). The wide input voltage tolerance helps reduce battery usage and maintain performance over time.
Extended Runtime
Optional external battery cabinets can be connected to increase UPS runtime. In addition, the Sentinel Pro2 range includes ER versions without internal batteries and with more powerful battery chargers for longer runtimes.
Low Noise
Thanks to the use of high-frequency components and a load-controlled variable-speed fan, the noise level generated by the UPS is below 40 dBA.
