ACE Power Electronics ensures power quality and protection of electrical equipment in CITY OF DREAMS MEDITERRANEAN in Cyprus
ACE Power Electronics carried out the supply of four Active Harmonic Suppression Filters and one UPS, to the CITY OF DREAMS MEDITERRANEAN casino which is one of the leading development projects in Cyprus and the largest casino in the entire country. The modern casino that is part of this multi-themed resort, includes a large number of sensitive electronic equipment such as gaming machines, IT systems, security, Data Centers with a high risk of common power quality problems (harmonics, voltage fluctuations, power interruptions and transition states).
With the implementation of the project, were installed two Active Harmonic Filters of the A2 100A series, two Active Harmonic Filters of the A2 200A series manufactured by the Finnish company MERUS POWER and a UPS MULTI SENTRY 100 KVA manufactured by the Italian company RIELLO UPS, which is accompanied by lithium batteries.
With the application of Active Harmonic Suppression Filters, the quality of the network’s electric energy is ensured, which entails saving operating costs and improving energy efficiency.
It is noted that the fast response time of Active Harmonic Filters suppresses harmonic components, voltage imbalances and transients. This has the effect of protecting the equipment from unnecessary downtime for its maintenance and data loss.
At the same time, the installation of the UPS contributes to the uninterrupted operation and protection of the emergency lighting systems, from power interruptions. The UPS comes with three battery packs with Riello UPS lithium batteries designed to meet the most demanding needs of the market. Lithium batteries are characterized by extended life, more than twice the charge-discharge cycles and faster charge rates, optimizing the efficiency of energy storage in the facility.
